Award season is officially in full swing and the 2026 Golden Globes did NOT disappoint. The red carpet served vintage archive fashion, custom couture, statement-making color, and some of the most stunning jewelry we’ve seen all year. Whether they were nominees, presenters, or just there to remind us why they’re A-list, these 20 celebrities brought their absolute best to the Beverly Hilton. Grab a snack because we’re breaking down every look, every designer, and every detail worth obsessing over.
1. Kate Hudson in Custom Armani Privé
Embed from Getty ImagesKate Hudson pulled a vintage Armani Privé halter gown from the Spring-Summer 2007 archives and honestly? Iconic move. The pewter shimmer, the beading, the fringe that moves when she walks – it all just works. She’s been leaning into this classic Hollywood thing while promoting Song Sung Blue and it suits her way more than her old boho era ever did. The dress got an update with new beading and a more sheer finish, so it’s not just a museum piece – it’s a museum piece with a 2026 glow up.
2. Hailee Steinfeld in Prada
Embed from Getty ImagesThe baby bump debut! Hailee Steinfeld walked her first red carpet since announcing her pregnancy with Josh Allen’s baby, and she did it in the most delicate pink Prada gown with silver bugle bead embellishments. She paired it with Desert diamonds from Repossi and this absolutely stunning 7.4-carat cushion-cut yellow diamond necklace that I am manifesting into my life as we speak. The soft waves, the glowing skin, the whole vibe was giving “I’m about to be a mom and I’ve never looked better” energy. Meanwhile her husband was out there winning playoff games. Power couple behavior only.
3. Ariana Grande in Vivienne Westwood
Embed from Getty ImagesFINALLY. After approximately 847 pink fluffy Glinda-coded looks, Ariana Grande showed up in a dark Vivienne Westwood gown that puffed out at the waist, and I genuinely gasped. The texture! The weight! The drama! It’s giving “I’m over the twee princess thing and I want you all to know it.” She’s been in her Wicked promo era for what feels like seventeen years at this point, so seeing her switch it up with something that has actual edge and weight to it was refreshing. Still a ball gown because old habits die hard, but at least it’s not pastel. Growth!
4. Nikki Glaser in Zuhair Murad
Embed from Getty ImagesOur host mother came with NINE outfit changes for the ceremony because she understood the assignment. She kicked off the night in a pink princess strapless gown (my favorite), twirling on the red carpet like she owned the whole building (she kind of did). Then she changed into a striking red dress for her opening monologue that was basically power dressing with a sense of humor. The fashion experts called it “bold, confident and impossible to ignore without ever distracting from the show” and honestly? Accurate. She closed out the night in a silver and black dress and a Spinal Tap hat as a tribute to the late Rob Reiner.
5. Lisa Manobal in Jacquemus
Embed from Getty ImagesThe White Lotus star and BLACKPINK queen Lisa showed up in a sheer long-sleeve Jacquemus gown from the spring/summer 2026 collection with a gold and diamond Bulgari choker. The drama of this silhouette? Unmatched. She’s giving high fashion editorial but make it wearable, and the way the sheer fabric plays with the light is genuinely stunning. The choker adds this bold, almost armor-like element that balances out the softness of the dress. She’s relatively new to the Hollywood awards circuit but you’d never know it – she walked that carpet like she’s been doing this her whole life.
6. Elle Fanning in Gucci
Embed from Getty ImagesThis woman is incapable of missing. She showed up in a silver figure-hugging Gucci gown that looks sparkly from far away but up close? Those are all individually hand-placed flowers. The craftsmanship took HOURS. She told E! about it and seemed appropriately impressed with herself. The V-neckline, the straight skirt to the floor, and that thick Cartier diamond necklace sitting across her collarbone – Elle understood that sometimes you don’t need drama, you need precision. She came with her boyfriend Gus Wenner and they both looked like very expensive people who own a lot of art.
7. Selena Gomez in Chanel
Embed from Getty ImagesSelena walked in with husband Benny Blanco wearing a custom Chanel gown that took 323 HOURS to make. The black velvet bodice with white feather off-the-shoulder neckline situation? Old Hollywood perfection. About 200 embroidered elements including feathers, silk chiffon, and silk organza went into this masterpiece. She kept the accessories minimal (just her wedding rings and Chanel diamond earrings), let her curled bob do the talking, and wore the perfect red lip. Her stylist Erin said the vibe was “joy meets elegance” and honestly the brief was met.
8. Tessa Thompson in Custom Balenciaga
Embed from Getty ImagesOur Hedda star and Best Actress nominee showed up in a greenish-gold Balenciaga gown embroidered with fishtail sequins and I’m actually obsessed. The fashion critics said it best: “An awards season red carpet look doesn’t have to be complicated. It doesn’t have to be trendy or outrageous. It just needs to deliver high impact and high-level professionalism. You need to reek of A-List and look like a winner.” That’s exactly what this is. The unusual tone of the sparkles gives it a modern edge while the silhouette stays classic. Plus that bracelet? STUNNING.
9. Jennifer Lawrence in Givenchy
Embed from Getty ImagesJennifer Lawrence really said “let me exit my quiet luxury era for ONE night.” She wore this sheer floral embroidered tulle gown by Sarah Burton for Givenchy and it’s giving Beyoncé’s 2015 Met Gala look vibes. The flowers are strategically placed (you know where), the whole thing is giving ethereal garden fairy, and she carried a satin shawl with matching florals. It’s a complete 180 from her usual “cool mom in The Row” street style and we needed this reminder that she can still serve high fashion when required.
10. Teyana Taylor in Custom Schiaparelli
Embed from Getty ImagesTeyana Taylor showed up in custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture that was basically designed to show off every inch of her body, including a very strategic backside cutout with a crystal-encrusted bow covering (barely) the relevant areas. The One Battle After Another star was nominated AND won Best Supporting Actress, so clearly she knew she’d be walking up those steps and planned accordingly. The gown seemed to defy gravity and she worked directly with designer D Rosebury without a stylist because she IS the vision.
11. Colman Domingo in Valentino
Embed from Getty ImagesThe best dressed man in Hollywood did it again. Colman Domingo (Valentino’s first global fragrance ambassador, thank you very much) showed up in a custom Valentino suit with Boucheron jewels crawling up the left side of his jacket like, and I quote, “ivy in a garden.” It’s classic with a twist and proof that menswear’s most powerful statements come from knowing exactly who you are and dressing accordingly. Omega watch on the wrist, Valentino shoes on the feet. This man never misses.
12. Jackie Tohn in Vintage-Inspired Monochromatic Ballgown
Embed from Getty ImagesJackie walked the red carpet in an off-the-shoulder black satin gown with a pink tulle bottom and I genuinely loved the contrast. Yes, some people online said it looked like two dresses in one but that’s literally the point? The black satin up top is sleek and sophisticated, the pink tulle on the bottom brings the fun and the fantasy. Not every look needs to be safe and predictable – sometimes you show up in something that makes people talk and that’s the whole point of fashion. She stood out in a sea of black gowns and safe choices and I respect that energy.
13. Justine Lupe in Armani Privé
Embed from Getty ImagesJustine Lupe from Nobody Wants This showed up in a completely sheer, peach-toned Armani Privé gown from the Fall/Winter 2021 couture collection and, quite literally, freed the situation on the Golden Globes red carpet. The tiered fabric cascaded like a second skin, her hair flowed in long blonde waves, and the whole thing sparked a MASSIVE debate online. Some called it elegant, others said the transparency was “too much.” She paired it with Boucheron jewelry, and there’s literally nothing else you can focus on except… well, you know. The bralessness of it all. Bold doesn’t even begin to cover this choice.
14. Odessa A’zion in Vintage Dolce & Gabbana
Embed from Getty ImagesThe Marty Supreme breakout star said “I’m not doing a gown” and showed up in vintage Dolce & Gabbana with voluminous tailored trousers, a dramatic feathered top, and OPERA GLOVES. When everyone else is doing column dresses and sparkly things, she chose an entirely different path and it’s giving “I know exactly what I’m doing.” The feathers and gloves are classic old school Hollywood, but the pants make it feel fresh and young. The asymmetry of the look gave some critics an “eyelid twitch” but honestly I think the whole thing just works. She dressed up a pair of fancy pants and made it red carpet appropriate. Respect.
15. Hudson Williams in Giorgio Armani
Embed from Getty ImagesOne half of the Heated Rivalry phenomenon showed up in a white-and-black Giorgio Armani look with a white jacket, matching cummerbund, unbuttoned silk shirt, Bulgari jewelry, and Christian Louboutin shoes. The open-shirt situation is kind of a default “handsome young star” move and some critics found it slightly stale with the cummerbund. BUT. He looked good doing it. The internet collectively lost their minds when he and co-star Connor Storrie walked the carpet together because the chemistry was radiating through the screen. That’s more than enough if you ask me.
16. Emily Blunt in Custom Louis Vuitton
Embed from Getty ImagesEmily and John Krasinski were THE couple of the night, style-wise. Emily wore a custom Louis Vuitton all-white sleeveless gown with a one-shoulder short cape accented with silver jewelry buttons. He wore an all-black Dolce & Gabbana suit with a wool turtleneck. The contrast! The coordination! The “we clearly discussed this before we left the house” energy! She accessorized with Tiffany & Co. diamond jewels and Christian Louboutin shoes. Fashion critics called them “tailored modernity in a unique way” and I think that’s the fanciest way to say “they both looked really good and clearly have taste.” Power couple fashion executed flawlessly.
17. Charli XCX in Custom Saint Laurent
Embed from Getty ImagesFirst Globes in a decade for our Brat Summer Queen, and she came correct in custom Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello. The dress featured a black feathered off-the-shoulder bodice (giving Black Swan energy) with a classic white maxi skirt, joined at the waist by a satin bow. Styled by longtime collaborator Chris Horan, she accessorized with De Beers diamonds and platform sandals. The contrast is sharp, almost graphic, but the feathers keep it from feeling cold. Hair down, parted to the side, one wave falling over her eye. She’s presenting and promoting her upcoming film The Moment, which means her acting era is officially in full swing.
18. Connor Storrie in Saint Laurent
Embed from Getty ImagesThe other half of Heated Rivalry wore a black Saint Laurent tux with a Tiffany & Co. brooch on the lapel and a necktie instead of a traditional bowtie. Some critics said he looked like a “kid in a Disney Channel series circa 2003” with that hair situation, but the look was FINE. When you’re one half of the internet’s favorite new ship and you’re standing next to Hudson Williams, no one is really paying attention to whether your suit is groundbreaking. They’re paying attention to the VIBES. And the vibes were immaculate. Sometimes “fine” is enough when your face does that much heavy lifting.
19. Amanda Seyfried in Custom Versace
Embed from Getty ImagesAmanda showed up with double nominations (film AND television – flex!) in a strapless ivory Versace gown with a sweetheart neckline, form fitting silhouette, and delicate matching shawl. The whole look was giving Old Hollywood glamour in the most effortless way possible. Hair slicked back with a side part, bold brows, lined eyes, glossy deep red lip. Tiffany & Co. statement necklace doing all the heavy lifting. She’s been promoting The Testament of Ann Lee in mostly color-free, modest looks and this was her “okay but I can also do classic movie star glam” moment. Mission accomplished. She looked like she walked off a 1940s studio lot.
20. Rose Byrne in Chanel
Embed from Getty ImagesRose Byrne took home the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy forIf I Had Legs I’d Kick You, and she did it wearing an emerald green Chanel gown with a loosely tied ribbon in front. Some critics said the ribbon and her “politician hair” made it look boring, but I think she lookedstunning. Against all the black, white, and nude tones, this green absolutely popped. She mentioned in her speech that her husband, Bobby Cannavale, couldn’t attend because he was at a reptile expo in New Jersey buying their kids a bearded dragon. That’s the most relatable thing any celebrity has ever said at an awards show. Her dress was great, her speech was iconic, and her husband is at Reptilecon. We stan a real one.
Final Thoughts
Overall? This was a pretty solid Golden Globes for fashion. The general vibe was Old Hollywood classic with some strategic risk-taking. Everyone else seemed to get the “less is more” memo – except for Teyana Taylor, who was clearly like, “more is more, especially when it comes to gluteal diamonds,” and we love her for it. The biggest trends were black gowns, sheer dresses (thanks JLo and Justine), pops of bold color against all that monochrome, and feathers everywhere.
Now let’s see what they bring to the Oscars. I’ll be watching. With opinions.
