Dark fall nails are my annual excuse to get a little dramatic. Espresso brown, black cherry, midnight blue, plum, and forest green cover the color palette, while cat eye, chrome, and ribbed glass give us plenty of shine to obsess over. 1. Dark Cat Eye
Fall 2026 is giving cat-eye nails a darker upgrade, and I'm fully on board. Brown cat eye is my current obsession, especially The GelBottle Inc’s Duchess Magnetic. Tried it, loved it, would absolutely repeat.
2. Midnight Blue Mani
One of fall 2026’s trendiest nail colors? Midnight blue, easily. It looks nearly black until daylight reveals that gorgeous navy blue. Go solid, try navy Frenchies, or mix them. Essie After School Boy Blazer gets the shade right.
3. Plum Chrome Set
We’re taking chrome straight into fall, preferably over a deep plum base like Londontown Elderberry. Full coverage, a reflective finish, and suddenly those glazed neutrals have some serious competition.

4. Burgundy Halo Nails
Burgundy nails are a fall tradition, and 2026 isn't changing that. A glossy wine shade like Essie Bordeaux is always a winner, but I'm voting for a little extra drama this year. Silver or gold dots around the edges give this classic a trendy halo effect.
5. Celestial French Tips
Black French tips get the witchy treatment with gold starburst art (or silver, if that's your jewelry situation). Short nails? Go micro with the French tips and scale down the stars. Celestial nail drama for everyone.

Polka dots were never going to sit fall out. I love Londontown Midnight Mocha for a deep brown base, dotted with micro white spots. Wear it glossy or add a chrome glaze if your manicure needs another little plot development.
